Platform Top Material:
Carpet: Marine-grade indoor/outdoor carpet bonded to the plywood platform. Soft, quiet, and adds padding under your mattress. Durable enough for muddy boots. Easy to vacuum.
Hex Ply: Phenolic-coated plywood with a rugged hexagonal grip pattern. This is what you see in professional adventure rigs and overland builds. Gear stays put on steep terrain, heavy coolers and bins slide in and out without snagging, and cleanup is a 30-second wipe. Looks aggressive. Won't absorb spills, odors, or dog hair.
